UNDATED – If you rely on products that use powder metal, supply chain problems could get worse.
State Representative Mike Armanini says that Pennsylvania’s powder metal industry is being hurt by a 50% federal tariff on imported copper powder, and a fire that affected the nation’s only domestic producer, causing a supply shortage.
Armanini is now asking lawmakers to temporarily lift the tariff to help local manufacturers and save jobs.
