Clearfield 13, Bradford 2 – Hayden Rumsky knocked in three Clearfield runs while teammate Jayce Brothers hit a double and a triple and drove in a pair.
Curwensville 20, Glendale 5;
St. Marys 5, Clarion 4 – Louie Nedzinski drove in three runs for the Dutch.
TUESDAY-SOFTBALL
DuBois 20, Bradford 5 – Abby Kalgren drove in four runs for the Lady Beavers, and Brielle Gray had three RBI for DuBois.
DuBois Central Catholic 10, St. Marys 0 – DCC’s Rylee Kulbatsky pitched a one-hitter and struck out 12. Both Lizzy Green and Reese Pfingstler hit a home run for the Lady Cardinals.
Brockway 15, AC Valley/Union 0 – Elysabeth Myers drove in seven Lady Rovers runs with a home run, a triple and a double.

Penn State-DuBois Baseball:
The Penn State-DuBois baseball team fell into the loser’s bracket of this year’s USCAA Small College Baseball World Series by an 8-7 loss to Salem University yesterday. This morning at 10, the Lions will be play Miami-Hamilton at Showers Field in DuBois.
Also this week, the USCAA Small College Softball World Series is continuing at Heindl Field in DuBois.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
Paul Skenes put on another awesome pitching show for the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Bucs downed the Colorado Rockies last night, 3-1. Skenes didn’t give up a run, and he struck out 10 Rockies over eight innings.
Listen for game two the Pirates-Rockies series at PNC Park with the pregame show at 6:15 this evening. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:40pm on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve managed a 1-0 win over the Harrisburg Senators last night. Pirates pitcher Jared Jones made an elbow surgery rehab start for the Curve. Jones pitched four scoreless innings, and struck out four Senators while giving up just three singles. Game two of the Altoona-Harrisburg series is at 11 this morning at PNG Field.
