DuBois Little League Baseball and Softball All-Star Tournaments:
The Senior Little League All-Star baseball state tournament continues in DuBois, but the DuBois All-Stars have been eliminated from contention. On Monday, DuBois fell to Meadville in the losers bracket by an 8-0 score. The state tournament is scheduled to wrap up with the championship round at Stern Field tomorrow.
The DuBois Little League Majors All-Star baseball team, champions of District 10, will be heading to the sectional tournament in Meadville. The first game for the DuBois Little Leaguers will be on Saturday at 1pm against the FLAG Little League All-Stars.
This evening, the DuBois Junior All-Star softball team begins state tournament action in Corry. The first game for the DuBois girls will be at 6pm tonight as they take on West Suburban.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates are at rest during Major League Baseball’s All-Star break this week.
On Friday, Pittsburgh will resume their regular season schedule in Cleveland. Listen for the Bucs-Guardians pregame show Friday at 6:45pm. The first pitch of Friday night’s game is set for 7:10 on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve also get an All-Star game break until Friday. Altoona will resume action with a three-game series at Reading. The Curve have a record of 38 wins and 49 losses with two months of Eastern League baseball left to play.
