District 10 Little League Softball and Baseball All-Star Tournaments:

The DuBois Little League Major All Star softball team knocked off Bradford last night, 14-0. This evening, DuBois will battle St. Marys-Fox Township in the championship round. A win by DuBois would force a deciding championship game on Friday. Tune in at 6 this evening for the DuBois at St. Marys-Fox Township game on Sunny 106.

In the second round of the District 10 Little League Junior All-Star baseball tournament this evening, DuBois will face Brookville at 6pm. Watch all the action at Tri-County – dot – TV.

The Majors All Star baseball tournament starts today. DuBois will battle Brookville at Way Memorial Field in DuBois in a first round game at 6pm, and you can watch that game at Tri-County – dot – TV.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates pounded Seattle last night at PNC Park, 11-1.

The third and final game of the Pirates-Mariners series in Pittsburgh is coming up this afternoon. Listen for the Bucs pregame show at 12:10. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:35 on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve doubled up Reading with an 8-4 win last night. Altoona’s lineup featured Pirates rookie Konnor Griffin as he started his rehabilitation assignment. Griffin hit a home run and a triple, drove in three runs, and he played seven innings. The Curve and R-Phils square off in game three of their six-game series at PNG Field in Altoona tonight with game time set for 6:30.

The Frank Varischetti All-Star Football Game:

Tomorrow night is the 11th annual Frank Varischetti All-Star Football Game in Brockway. Players from Brockway, DuBois, Punxsutawney, Ridgway, and St. Marys high schools will suit up for the North team while a few Brookville Raiders will participate with the South team. These all-stars are 2026 graduates representing District 9 high school football programs. In a special pregame ceremony, two dozen scholarships will be awarded to select players. The annual game is played on Brockway’s Frank Varischetti Field. Friday evening’s kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
