DuBois Little League Baseball and Softball All-Star Tournaments:

The DuBois Junior All-Star softball team was eliminated from the state tournament in Corry. DuBois fell to Troy by a score of 5-2 Friday evening.

Meanwhile. the DuBois 9 to 11 year-old baseball All-Stars claimed the sectional tournament championship in Fairview with an 8-5 victory over the FLAG All-Stars. DuBois advances to the state tournament in Selinsgove. The first game for DuBois will be Thursday morning at 9.

The DuBois Little League Majors All-Star baseball team is still alive in the sectional tournament in Meadville. The DuBois Little Leaguers lost their first game against the FLAG Little League All-Stars, 4-3; but they battled back with a 12-1 win over Butler Township Sunday afternoon. This evening at 6, DuBois will take on FLAG again in an elimination game. You can catch all the action live on Tri-County – dot – TV.

This weekend, the DuBois Junior Little League baseball All-Stars will be the host team for the East Region Tournament. The City of DuBois is the host site of this year’s tournament which begins on Saturday. The first game for DuBois is scheduled for 5pm Saturday against the Rhode Island All-Stars.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates won two of three games in Cleveland over the weekend. The Bucs beat the Guardians 7-1 on Sunday.

Next for Pittsburgh is three games in New York against the Yankees. Tune in for tonight’ Pirates-Yankees pregame show at 6:40, and listen for the first pitch at 7:05pm on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve won Friday’s game, but lost Saturday and Sunday in their Eastern League weekend series in Reading . Next for the Curve is a six-game road series at Akron beginning Tuesday afternoon.
