DuBois Little League Baseball and Softball All-Star Tournaments:
Last night, the DuBois Junior All-Star softball team downed Corry, 5-3, at the state tournament. DuBois stays alive in the losers bracket and is now scheduled to take on Troy at 6 this evening.
The DuBois 9 to 11 year-old baseball All-Stars are making their way through the sectional tournament in Fairview. On Wednesday, DuBois upended FLAG, 12-6. The DuBois All-Stars will next play in the tourney’s championship round.
The DuBois Little League Majors All-Star baseball team will be playing in the sectional tournament in Meadville this weekend. The first game for the DuBois Little Leaguers will be Saturday at 1pm against the FLAG Little League All-Stars. You can catch all the action live on Tri-County – dot – TV.
In a little more than a week, the DuBois Junior Little League baseball All-Stars will play as host team in the East Region Tournament. The City of DuBois is the host site of the annual tournament which begins on Saturday, July 25th. The first game for DuBois is scheduled for 5pm on the 25th against the Rhode Island All-Stars.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
After four days off for Major League Baseball’s All-Star festivities, the Pittsburgh Pirates get back to their regular season schedule tonight. The Bucs play in Cleveland this evening. Tune in for the Pirates-Guardians pregame show at 6:45, and listen for the first pitch at 7:10pm on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve open a three-game, Eastern League weekend series in Reading tonight. Game one of the series starts at 7pm. .
