BROCKWAY – A Brockway Rovers football player has made District 9 history, becoming the all-time leader in career receiving yards.
Senior Caleb Daugherty broke both Brockway’s and District 9’s record Friday night during the Rover’s game against Maplewood.
Daugherty finished the game with 71 receiving yards bringing his career total to 3,178.
“Honestly, I had no idea,” said Daugherty. “A smile just immediately came up, and it was honestly great. I can’t even explain it, honestly.”
The Rovers now continue to the District 9 playoffs, coming off of an eight game win streak.
