DuBois Little League Baseball All-Star Tournaments:

The DuBois Little League 9-to-11 year-old baseball All-Stars were shut out in their first game at the state tournament in Selinsgove. On Thursday, DuBois fell to Newtown by a score of 12-0. The DuBois All-Stars will try to stay alive at states this morning as they go up against Glenmore at 10 in the elimination round.

Tomorrow, the DuBois Junior Little League All-Stars and the City of DuBois will begin hosting the Junior League Baseball East Region Tournament. Stern Family Field in DuBois City Park is the host site of this year’s tournament. Games begin Saturday morning. The first game involving DuBois is scheduled for 5pm Saturday against the Cranston-East, Rhode Island All-Stars. Watch and listen to all the action at Tri-County – dot – TV.

Pittsburgh Pirates:

The Pittsburgh Pirates welcome the Chicago Cubs to PNC Park this weekend for a three-game series.

Tune in for the Pirates pregame show this evening at 6:15, and listen for the first pitch at 6:40pm on Connect FM.

Altoona Curve:

The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve squeaked past the Akron Rubber Ducks, 1-0, Thursday night in Ohio. The Curve face the Rubber Ducks in Akron for game four of their Eastern League series tonight with an odd first pitch time of 7:17.

Pittsburgh Steelers:

Training Camp for the 2026 Pittsburgh Steelers begins on Wednesday at St. Vincent College in Latrobe. Camp practices and activities will run from July 29th through August 17th. The first preseason game for the Steelers is set for August 13th at home against Green Bay.
