DuBois Little League Baseball and Softball All-Star Tournaments:
Tuesday evening, the DuBois Junior All-Star softball team fell by a 4-1 score to West Suburban in state tournament action in Corry. The next game for the DuBois girls is scheduled for 8 tonight against the Radnor-Wayne All-Stars.
The DuBois Little League Majors All-Star baseball team, as champs of District 10, are gearing up for the sectional tournament in Meadville. The first game for the DuBois Little Leaguers will be on Saturday at 1pm against the FLAG Little League All-Stars.
The DuBois Junior Little League baseball All-Stars will once again be the host team for the East Region Tournament. It begins on Saturday, July 25th. The first game for DuBois is scheduled for 5pm on the 25th against Rhode Island.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates have two more days off as part of Major League Baseball’s All-Star game break.
The Bucs get back to their regular season schedule in Cleveland on Friday. Listen for the Pirates-Guardians pregame show at 6:45 Friday evening. The first pitch is set for 7:10 Friday night on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve will also resume regular season action Friday with a three-game weekend series at Reading. Friday night’s first pitch is set for 7pm. The Curve have a record of 38 wins and 49 losses with two months of Eastern League baseball left to play.
