In the District 10 Little League Majors All-Star baseball tournament, DuBois has earned a spot in the championship round. DuBois will battle Bradford this evening at 6 at Way Memorial Field in DuBois. Catch all the action live at Tri-County – dot – TV
The DuBois Minors baseball All-Stars have battled their way through the losers bracket in their district tournament. DuBois knocked off Brookville, 14-0, in the losers bracket final Wednesday evening in Brookville. DuBois will now take on St. Marys for the district championship Friday evening in St. Marys.
The DuBois Junior All-Star softball team claimed the Section 1 championship in Corry Wednesday evening with a 12-2 victory over Warren. Next for the DuBois Junior All-Stars is the state tournament which will also be played in Corry. It begins Tuesday.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates were shut out by the Atlanta Braves Wednesday night, 3-0.
The Bucs face Atlanta again this afternoon at PNC Park. Listen for the Pirates-Braves pregame show at 12:10. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:35 today on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve put together an 8-5 win over Richmond Wednesday night. The Curve’s Eastern League home series with Richmond continues tonight. The first pitch of game three is scheduled for 6 this evening at Altoona’s PNG Field.
