DUBOIS – As the City of DuBois transitions to a new city manager, departing Interim Manager Ben Kafferlin is urging you to focus on community rather than division.
During his final council meeting in an official management role, Kafferlin said the city’s future depends less on government but on how the community treats one another.
“The thing that marks a healthy community is when citizens choose responsibility over cynicism, participation over complaints, stewardship over self-interest, hope over resentment, and neighborliness over contempt,” explained Kafferlin.
He thanked everyone for the opportunity to serve during the past 19 months, facing the city’s consolidation, and said he looks forward to watching DuBois continue to grow.
