PIAA Baseball and Softball Playoffs:
5A Baseball – The DuBois Beavers are headed to the state final in 5A for the first time since 1992 after beating the Hollidaysburg Tigers 4-1 Monday evening. They will now be playing in the state finals against Greencastle-Antrim this Friday at 4:30 in Medlar Field at Lubrano Park at Penn State University in State College.
1A Baseball –Eden Christian scored three runs early against Elk County Catholic leading the Crusaders to lose 5-1, knocking them out of the PIAA Playoffs.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates play against the LA Dodgers today at PNC Park. The game begins at 6:40pm. You can listen to the Bucs with the pregame show on ConnectFM at 6:15pm.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve will be starting a 5 game bout against the Chesapeake Baysox tomorrow, their first game is Wednesday at 6pm.
