Child Flown to Hospital After Being Hit by a Car

BIG RUN – A nine year-old boy has been flown to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Sunday.

Just before 5:30pm first responders were dispatched to Watt Street in Big Run for a report that a 9 year-old child was hit by a vehicle.

The child was flown to UPMC Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh via Stat MedEvac Helicopter.

Since the initial report, police say the vehicle was driven by a 17 year-old girl from Punxsutawney which had two passengers ages 14 and 16.
