UNDATED – A new piece of legislation could mean more business for Pennsylvania timber industries.
Introduced by Congressman Glenn “GT” Thompson, the Mass Timber Federal Buildings Act. would, if enacted, would give American made timber products a preference in federal building projects, including military constructions.
Thompson says that this could create new opportunities for foresters, sawmills, and wood product manufacturers across Pennsylvania while boosting demand for timber locally.
