CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers is pushing back against allegations from Clearfield Borough officials that he failed to act on alleged harassment complaints that led to safety concerns and canceled meetings.
In a response letter, Sayers says the singular message in question did not meet the legal definition of terroristic threats, however he did say possible harassment allegations could still be pursued if additional messages are reported to police.
He also denied claims that he used a slur towards an elected official.
While Sayers did admit he opposes dissolving the Clearfield Regional Police Department, he says his personal views do not impact his decision making as the District Attorney.
