CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough’s Solicitor is accusing Clearfield County District Attorney Ryan Sayers of failing to protect borough officials from alleged harassment.
In a lengthy statement posted on the Borough’s Facebook page, Solicitor James Dennison claims that elected officials and their families have faced months of harassment from an individual opposed to shutting down the regional police force.
He also alleges State Police efforts to pursue charges were blocked by Sayers, who he says failed to remain neutral as tensions escalated to safety concerns and canceled meetings.
Now, Dennison says he wants the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Office and State Police to take over the investigation.
