2A: Kane 8, Brockway 4 – The Wolves scored five runs in the seventh inning to double up the Rovers.
2A: Curwensville 14, Cranberry 4 – The Golden Tide sent up 14 batters in their half of the fourth inning, and 10 of them crossed the plate to boost Curwensville to the five-inning win.

Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates lost in extra innings at St. Louis last night, 9-6.

Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve have now won seven of their last 10 games. The latest was a 4-2 Curve victory over the Erie Sea Wolves last night. The second game of the Eastern League series at PNG Field in Altoona is scheduled to begin this morning at 11.
