Brockway 9, Clarion-Limestone 5 – Ben Bash, Zayden Faith, Braxton McKinley, and Kyle Kennedy each smacked two hits for the Rovers. Kennedy batted in three of Brockway’s runs.

Punxsutawney 14, Johnsonburg 0 – Nevin Day recorded three RBI for the Chucks and became Punxsy’s all-time RBI leader with 90.

Brockway 18, Central Clarion 2 – Both Bella Patton and Navayda Smith recorded three RBI for the Lady Rovers.

Curwensville 16, Williamsburg 0 – Addison Siple pitched another no-hitter for the Lady Tide. She struck out 12, and at bat Siple drove in three runs with three hits including a home run.
Penn State-DuBois Baseball:
The City of DuBois and Penn State-DuBois baseball team is preparing to again host the USCAA Small College World Series. This year’s tournament gets started on Monday. Penn State-DuBois is seeded fifth among 10 teams participating. The Lions are scheduled to face the number four seed, US Sports University, on Monday at 10am at Showers Field.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates were belted by the Arizona Diamondbacks last night, 9-0. The Bucs try again in Phoenix tonight. Listen for the Pirates pregame show tonight at 9:15 on Connect FM. The first pitch will be at 9:40pm.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve put a pair of runs across the plate in the seventh inning last night to pull out a 4-3 win over the Chesapeake Bay Sox. Game two of the Curve’s six-game series in Maryland is set to begin this morning with the first pitch at 11:05.
