DuBois 8, Indiana 3 – The Beavers ended Indiana’s 19-game, regular season win streak. Beavers’ pitcher Noah Farrell struck out 11 and notched his 200th career strikeout. Samson Deeb, Madix Clark, and Trey Wingard each had two hits for DuBois.
DuBois Central Catholic 11, Johnsonburg 5 – Both Evan Burton and Carter Himes smacked three hits for the Cardinals.
Brockway 4, St. Marys 1 – The Rovers scored all four of their runs in the first inning.

DuBois 10, Cranberry 0 – Kendall Lashinsky gave up only two hits and struck out three for the Lady Beavers. Abby Kalgren drove in three DuBois runs.
DuBois Central Catholic 10, Redbank Valley 0 – DCC’s Rylee Kulbatsky struck out 14 and gave up only one hit.

Penn State-DuBois Baseball and Softball:
The Penn State-DuBois baseball team earned three wins over Penn State-Shenango Friday and Saturday. The Lions put up wins of 5-3, 11-1, and 16-2. Next on the Penn State-DuBois schedule is a home double-header against Penn State-Allegheny.
Meanwhile, the Penn State-DuBois softball team lost two games Friday at Penn State-Mont Alto, 9-0 and 10-0. Tuesday afternoon, the Lady Lions will play a double-header at Penn State-Beaver.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates won the weekend series in Chicago with wins on Friday and Saturday. But the Bucs lost, 7-6, to the Cubs Sunday after taking an early 5-0 lead.
The Bucs are back home and will play a four game series against Washington today through Thursday. Today’s first pitch set for 6:40. Tune in for the Pirates pregame show at 6:15 this evening on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ double-A affiliate, Altoona Curve, are now 0-and-9 after falling to Richmond six straight times. Sunday, the Curve lost, 2-1. Altoona returns home to start a six-game series against Portland. The Curve-Sea Dogs series begins at 6 Tuesday night.
Pittsburgh Penguins:
The Pittsburgh Penguins dropped two games to Washington over the weekend, 6-3 on Saturday; and 3-0 on Sunday.
Pittsburgh has just one more regular season game on the schedule. The Pens face off with the Blues Tuesday night in St. Louis. The Penguins start their Stanley Cup Playoff competition Saturday, and all of their playoff games will come you way on Connect FM .
