RIDGWAY – Drivers in Elk County plan for delays while on Route 948 starting Monday.
PennDOT officials say lane closures and flaggers will be on Route 948 just north of Ridgway as crews replace the Little Mill Creek bridge.
On Thursday the 16th, temporary signals will limit traffic to one lane as crews work in the northbound lane toward Warren.
This is expected to last until mid July at which point crews will begin moving to the southbound lane toward Ridgway.
This project is to reconstruct the heavily used bridge that was built in 1951 and carries over 1,000 vehicles daily.
