DUBOIS – City leaders are looking to expand the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance program in hopes of attracting new businesses and development.

RDA Executive Director Joe Mitchell explained that the goal is to expand growth by deferring taxes on increased property value, saving money as new businesses open.

“We are more interested in development of our entire city so that would allow businesses to come in and have some tax abatement over the time,” explained Mitchell.

This plan could also include residential properties to encourage housing development.
