DUBOIS – Penn Highlands DuBois received a several hundred dollar donation from The Winery at Wilcox to help support maternal and infant care programs.
Gathered through the winery’s Sweet Beginnings wine, for every bottle sold $2 dollars was set aside raising an initial $586 dollars for new parents in our area.
“Penn Highlands is such a big part of our community,“ explained Winery Manager Stefanie Kear. “And we are very community oriented. And so we wanted to think of something to help our community again.”
With more donations expected, everything gathered will benefit the Maternal and Child Center and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, including the NICU Safe Sleep Begins at Birth Program, providing newborns with swaddles.
