UNDATED – As the holiday season approaches and charitable giving increases, you are warned to stay vigilant about scam attempts.
When looking at charities, the Federal Trade Commission warns you to verify your charity to avoid any scam attempts.
They also say legitimate charities will accept credit cards or checks, and requests for cryptocurrencies, gift cards, or wire transfers are common signs of a scam.
