DUBOIS – The DuBois Area School District voted Thursday to take the appropriate steps in adopting a new electoral region map.

In accordance with state law, all three districts must be a similar size fairly representing the community.

“You have three districts; A, B, and C, to elect school board members,“ explained Dave Glass with the Clearfield County Election Board. “And with those you elect three from. That is the way the (school) board has chosen to do it. By law, those districts should be roughly even in terms of population, and right now those are not.”

Now, the school’s solicitor with the distinct and election board’s support will take the proposition to the Judge to put this plan into effect.
