UNDATED – Lawmakers from all across the commonwealth are currently working to create the state’s upcoming budget.
In February, the administration proposed a $133.7 billion dollar budget, going up over five percent.
We spoke with Senator Wayne Langerholc Jr. where he told us he believes that ask is unrealistic.
“There’s about a three billion dollar difference,“ explained Senator Langerholc. “So, it’s a very difficult balancing act. We have to ensure core governmental services are funded, and appropriate funds are funded. That we’re not just spending out of control.”
In the end, he is working to conform the budget to a modest affordable amount before a final allotment is settled upon.
