MARIENVILLE – One man is behind bars after police say he allegedly stole multiple items from an Eldred Township storage shed.
On May 4th, police were dispatched to Roseville Sigel Road for reports of a theft. Once on scene police learned that two individuals allegedly went into the victim’s open shed and stole a generator, a WEN saw with stand, and a trail camera battery pack valued around $1,120 dollars two days prior.
After the victim posted a surveillance photo of the alleged thief, he was identified as 36 year-old Andrew Birch. When questioned he allegedly denied any involvement but knew where the items were.
When he failed to return all of the stolen items he was taken into custody by police and sent to the Jefferson County Jail facing felony burglary charges.
