Area Penn Highlands Receives Almost $300,000 in Grants

UNDATED – Two area Penn Highlands facilities have received almost $300,000 dollars in grants.

Penn Highlands DuBois received $150,000 dollars to fund scholarship opportunities for medical professionals in hope of attracting new workers to the area.

At Penn Highlands Elk, they received $125,000 dollars to purchase a non-emergency transport van for those that have no way to return home if taken to the hospital.

Both grants were made possible by the A.J. and Sigismunda Palum
