Routine Traffic Stop Turns into Theft Arrest

PENFIELD – A routine traffic stop last week led to one man arrested for vehicle theft.

According to State Police, on Wednesday the 16th, troopers noticed a vehicle driving erratically. When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over they allegedly fled.

After a brief pursuit, the vehicle pulled over and the driver, later identified as 33 year-old Alexander Foltz, was placed into custody. 

After investigation, authorities learned that the vehicle was stolen. Charges are now pending for the alleged traffic violations and theft
