DuBois Vocabulary Bow Wins Spring Divisional Championship

DUBOIS – Dozens of DuBois students mastered over 32,000 words winning the State Divisional Championships once again.

Competing against other schools, each DuBois student trained by learning at least 30 different words every week between February and the end of March.

This year not only did the DuBois Vocabulary Bowl team take the divisional championship, but three teachers placed in the top 100 with one in the top 10.

One student, Carter Pearce, mastered an astonishing 3,310 words, pacing 14th in world rankings.
