DUBOIS – The DuBois Area School Board is seeking bids to construct a handicap friendly sidewalk at the High School.
The proposed walkway would wrap around the High School past the green house and through a slight incline ultimately ending at the tennis courts area.
According to school board member Gil Barker, this walkway will help everyone get access to hard to reach parts of the school grounds.
“It will take them off of the parking lot and put them onto a specific area that is safe for everyone,“ explained Barker.
With a main draw of the project to increase student safety in the parking lot the board unanimously approved to send this out to bid.
