DUBOIS – The annual SouperBowl at the DuBois High School is providing students with a creative way to raise funds for art programs.
This year, around 45 different types of soups were donated by parents and community members. For $12 you were able to get a ceramic bowl made by art students and try as much soup as you want.
According to Art Teacher Robin Craig all funds gathered will be used for the school’s art programs.
“It’s all for our art club where we provide kids with field trips, murals, extra materials, for doing extra fun stuff,“ explained Craig.
She also said none of this would have been possible without the efforts of the students and Art Teacher Cheyenne Kanouff.
All bowls were made by DuBois students, where they threw clay onto a potter’s wheel, fired the finished bowl, and sent it through the glazing process.
