New Managers Urging Unity During Conflicting Times

DUBOIS/SANDY TOWNSHIP – As consolidation for the City of DuBois and Sandy Township fast approaches, the new management firm is urging everyone to stick together and work through the distrust and hate.

Ben Kafferlin, one of the Managers for the city and township, has been seeing a wide variety of mistrust and miscommunication between all aspects of city government and the public.

He told us that to move forward with the merging of two communities, everyone must be on the same page.

“What we’re mostly hearing is miscommunication,“ explained Kafferlin. “So what we’re calling and asking people to do, it’s a new year’s resolution, is assume good intentions, at least until proven otherwise. We really see the opportunity here for the communities to become one. Not in just terms of jurisdictional boundaries, but in terms of a community.”

A full look into the Manager’s thoughts can be found during Wednesday night’s Consolidation meeting on Tri County.tv.
