DUBOIS – The DuBois and Sandy Township Manager is resigning from both municipalities, with the interviewing process for his successor underway.
Even though Manager Shawn Arbaugh has not submitted a formal resignation letter yet, it is now known to the public that he intended to leave December 2nd, taking a new role as the business administrator for the Brookville Area School District.
Since both the City of DuBois and Sandy Township have had troubles hiring an assistant Manager, elected officials went straight to the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development to find an interim Manager.
Jason Dailey was then recommended to the Township, at which point the interview process began..
Dailey worked as the former Public Works Director and Utilities Director for Cranberry Township in Butler County, he has also served as Township Manager for multiple municipalities in Allegheny county.
Any new hire is expected to start in November subject to a background check and approval of the DuBois City Council.
