DUBOIS – A former City of DuBois Police Chief has filed a lawsuit against the municipality and five city employees Thursday.
According to court documents, former Police Chief Blaine Clark is seeking damages and lost wages tallying up to $300,000 dollars.
He alleges that his due process was violated, his contract breached, and his Pennsylvania Whistleblower law was violated, when he was abruptly placed on administrative leave on February 15th and subsequently fired by the DuBois City Council in early April.
The 3 to 2 decision to fire Clark was voted in favor by Councilwoman Jennifer Jackson,, Councilman Elliot Gelfand, and Mayor Pat Reasinger.
Clarks original contract with the municipality was set until January 2026. However, as Clarks defense team alleges, a slew of conflicts between him, Councilwoman Jackson, Councilman Gelfand, Mayor Reasinger, former interim city Manager Chris Nasuti and Assistant Police Chief Dustin Roy ultimately led to his firing.
