DUBOIS – A local bank is putting the spotlight on an organization who is honoring the legacy of a little girl.
The T.E.D.E. Foundation is spearheaded by Valerie and Mike Day for their daughter Thea Evenzie Day, who is a victim of Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that often makes its victims unable to speak.
The foundation has been making waves in the DuBois area raising awareness for the medical condition and providing resources to those in need.
Currently the organization is working on installing communication boards in local parks, getting more adaptive play equipment, and adult changing tables in public bathrooms. All steps to making an inclusive community.
For all of these reasons and more, Priority First Federal Credit Union is honoring the T.E.D.E Foundation by naming them the Community Spotlight Recipient for the Month of September.
More information on the T.E.D.E Foundation can be found on their website.
