Copper Theft Leads to Internet, Phone Outage

CURWENSVILLE – The theft of 200 feet of wire in Pike Township left a number of Clearfield County residents without internet or phone service.

According to State Police, an unknown suspect or suspects cut and stole the copper wire from utility poles along the Curwensville-Tyrone Highway.

Police are still investigating, and say the stolen wire is worth approximately $10,000.
