BROOKVILLE – The short-term lane closures near the Interstate 80 North Fork Bridges in Jefferson County have been extended.
The closures were originally expected to end on July 26th, but they will remain in effect for both the Eastbound and Westbound left lanes until August 16th.
According to PennDOT and Bridging Pennsylvania Developers, this first stage of the four-year project to demolish and reconstruct the North Fork Bridges includes the widening of the median shoulders, construction of access roads, and installing erosion controls.
Work is still scheduled to take place at night, from 9 pm to 6 am.
The entire project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2028.
