Pennsylvania unemployment numbers increase

HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania’s unemployment numbers increased a little in February.

According to the state’s Department of Labor and Industry, the jobless rate in the Commonwealth is up one-tenth of a percentage point over the prior month to 4.4 percent. That matches the state’s unemployment rate of one year ago, in February 2022.

The total number of nonfarm jobs in Pennsylvania has reached new record high of 6,094,400.
