St. Marys Man Accused of Shooting Shotgun Into Building

ST MARYS – A St. Marys man is behind bars after police say that he allegedly fired a shotgun into apartment walls.

On February 4th police responded to a Market Street apartment saying that 56 year-old Joel Captain was drilling holes into the walls.

Once on scene police learned that the damage was caused by a 12-gauge shotgun being fired into the wall.

He was taken to the hospital for mental health evaluation, then to the Elk County Jail where he now faces multiple charges related to the incident.
