
District 9 High School Football: Week 4 Results
Brockway 21, Brookville 14 – Rovers quarterback Aiden Patton completed seven passes for 118 yards and one touchdown. Collin Weir carried the ball for 88 total yards and scored Brockway’s other two touchdowns. Brockway had a 21-0 lead early in the second half, and held off a late Brookville comeback try.
DuBois 59, Bradford 20 – Beavers quarterback Trey Wingard had five more touchdown passes in the game, pushing his high school career total to 73. Jaxson Hanzely caught four Wingard throws for 135 yards and three touchdowns. Hanzely now has 10 touchdown receptions in four games this season.

Pittsburgh Steelers:
The Pittsburgh Steelers lost to Seattle, 31-17, in their home-opener yesterday in week two of NFL action. The Steelers held a seven point lead at halftime, but were outscored by the Seahawks 17-3 in the fourth quarter. Pittsburgh is now 1-and-1.
Pittsburgh Pirates:
The Pittsburgh Pirates’ woes continued through the weekend. The Bucs lost two of three games in DC, including a 4-3 defeat to the Nats on Sunday.
Tonight, the Pirates return home to face the Chicago Cubs. The first pitch at PNC Park is scheduled for 6:40. Listen for the Bucs-Cubbies pregame show will begin at 6:15 this evening on Connect FM.
Altoona Curve:
The Pirates’ Double-A affiliate Altoona Curve lost their final regular season game of the year in Erie on Sunday, 7-5. The Curve ended up dropping five of their last six games at Erie. On Tuesday, the Curve start a divisional playoff series against the Sea Wolves at PNG Field in Altoona. Game time is 6pm.
