1992-2026
Vincent James “Vinnie” Gressler, age 33 of DuBois, PA passed away peacefully (went to Heaven) on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Born on May 21, 1992 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of Renee (Lenherr)Hand and her husband Steve, and James Gressler.
His favorite color was yellow, his favorite songs were YMCA, Jesus Loves Me, and Amazing Grace. Vinnie enjoyed watching VeggieTales, his favorite characters were Larry Boy and Junior Asparagus. He enjoyed the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Bluey and storm movies. In 1999 Vinnie went to Disney World for Make-A-Wish, in 2000 he went to Chesapeake, VA to visit his Uncle Russ and Aunt Jan. He enjoyed the beach and museums. He also went to Ocean City, MD with his Grandma Gressler, Aunt Laurie and cousins. They visited the monument, museums, and the beach. Vinnie loved buying stuffed animals and giving them names, although he changed their names often. He loved baked macaroni and cheese, Pringles, Reese’s Pieces, and chocolate milk.
Vinnie was a gift to us from God, and all who knew him. He was like a magnet that drew people in. To know him was to love him. Although he had many struggles throughout his life, he never complained. He always said “I’m good”.
In addition to his parents he leaves behind PapPap, Mamma, Aunt Marsha (who he wanted to marry when he was 6), Uncle Ken; Uncle Russ & Aunt Jan; Aunt Rachel and her husband Jim; Uncle Bob & Aunt Tammy, Uncle Steve & Aunt Laurie and numerous cousins.
We would also like to acknowledge his amazing caregivers on Martha Street in Punxsutawney, that took care of him for the last 15 months, and the excellent doctors who cared for him over the years.
Vinnie will be missed by many.
He was preceded in death by his Grandad and Grandma Gressler.
