Ursula H. (Thomalla) Jones, 84, of Brookville, PA, passed away during the evening hours of Friday, January 23, 2026, while a resident at Laurelbrooke Assisted Living in Brookville. Ursula was born on July 29, 1941, to the late Franz and Berta (Krause) Thomalla in Deutsch Rasselwitz, Germany. She has eight years of schooling, three years of beauty school, and three years working at a beauty salon. She worked for twenty-six years in Prince Georges Hospital Maryland in the Dietary Section. Ursula was a beloved member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Brookville. She married the love of her life, Richard Jones on February 4, 1983, in Upper Marlboro, MD; Richard preceded her in passing on July 25, 2018. Ursula is survived by two nephews: Gebhard Thomalla and Eberhard Thomalla; two nieces: Veronika Thomalla and Katleen Thomalla; two sisters-in-law: Bessie Pickett and Joanne Leach; cousins: Wolfgang and Brigitte Leder, Horst Leder, Christl and Gunther Grimm; Helga and Erich Klenovsky, and Hans Thomalla and Eleanore. In addition to her parents and husband, Ursula was preceded in passing by one brother. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 5pm to 7pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A second viewing will take place on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Grace Lutheran Church, 160 Franklin Ave, Brookville, PA 15825, from 10am to 11am. A funeral service will be held immediately following the second viewing, beginning at 11am, and officiated by Pastor Sandra Jones. Interment will take place at Knoxdale Mt.
