Susan Louise Robb of New Bern, NC died Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Home Place of New Bern, New Bern, North Carolina surrounded by her family.
Born on April 29, 1941 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer K. and Jean (Moore) Hockman also of DuBois, PA. She was preceded in death by her brothers John P. Hockman and Richard M. Hockman. She married William A. Robb on June 30, 1958. He survives. Susan is also survived by four children: Kathie Drayton and her husband Paul of Atlanta, Ga; Laurie Spadafora and her husband Frank of Swansboro, NC; Kristin Deim and her husband David of Rolesville, NC and Karen Bell of Wilmington, NC, six grandchildren; Shannon, Kelli, Megan, Brett, Jessica, and Kaytlin and eleven great-grandchildren; Samantha, Dylan, Alex, Kennedy, Cameron, Damien, Jade, Samba, Zach, Dominick, and Tulsi.
Susan worked as an Avon representative before returning to college and earning a degree in accounting. She later worked for H&R Block Premium until her retirement. She was also a softball coach, and a Brownie and Girl Scout troop leader. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, and singing. She and her husband enjoyed traveling and maintaining friendships that lasted since Bill's college and service years. Both Susan and her husband Bill enjoyed playing bridge with Susan earning the distinction of Life Master.
Visitation will be held from 10 AM – 11 AM, Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Baronick Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc. at 211 S Main St, DuBois PA . A funeral service will follow at 11 AM from the funeral home with Pastor Terry Felt officiating. Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
