Stella V. Marche age 88 a Brandy Camp Circle Ridgway, PA resident, died on Friday, January 23, 2026 at her residence. Born on May 7, 1937 in Force, PA; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Helen V. Watkavich Sarnoski. On July 7, 1962 she was married to Theodore “Junior” “Ted” Marche Jr. and he preceded her in death on June 5, 2017. After marrying Ted, she moved from Weedville to the Brandy Camp/Ridgway area where she’s lived her entire life. Retired, Stella had been employed as a Packer at Brockway Glass for 30 years. She was a very dedicated worker on the swing shift and rarely ever missed a day’s work. Stella was a member at the former Holy Cross Church in Brandy Camp until it’s closure, and now is a member at St. Tobias Church in Brockway. She loved to watch and feed the birds, and really enjoyed all wildlife. She also enjoyed simple things like taking walks, going to the grocery store and especially going out to lunch with her sisters. Stella was an excellent cook and used this skill to create many memorable traditions especially around the holidays. She would do anything for anybody, and her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren meant everything to her. She is survived by 3 daughters: Tina (Jeff) Buchheit of St Marys, PA; Hope (Tim) Swanson of Caledonia, PA; Cathy (Jim) McKenrick of Clearfield, PA; 2 sisters: Helen “Rosie” Schneider and Josephine “Josie” (Vincent) Lenze both of St Marys; 2 brothers Pat (Denise) Sarnoski of Emporium, PA and Joseph Sarnoski also of St Marys; 7 grandchildren: Alicia (Scott) Fourness, Bryan and Brad Harvey, Josh (Kelly) Snyder, Adam, Laura and Renee Buchheit. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a son Mark Marche an infant son Theodore, a sister Wanda Cameroni, brothers Stanley, John Walter, Albert and an infant brother Pete. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 29 from 5 PM to 8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in the Brandy Camp Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Elk County Humane Society 1029 E. Eschbach Road St Marys, PA 15857 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
