Stella Freemer
1934-2026

Stella Freemer age 92 of Arch Street Ext. Brockway, PA; died on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on April 13, 1934 in DuBois, PA; she was the daughter of the late Bruno A. and Victoria Kulbatsky Lesky. On June 19, 1954 she was married to John J. “Jack” Freemer and he survives. They had been married just shy of 73 years. Retired, Stella had been employed at Jackson China in Falls Creek, and she also did house cleaning for Brockway residents for many many years. She was a member at St. Tobias Church. Over the years Stella loved raising and tending to her sheep, chickens and her ducks. She also enjoyed going shopping with Sharon, camping, playing cards, cheering on the Steelers and taking trips to the casino. In addition to her husband Jack, she is also survived by daughters Brenda Freemer of Brockway; Sharon Hanson of Two Rivers, WI; sons John B. (Laraine) Freemer of Scattertown, PA; Ron “Poke” (Susan) Freemer of Brockway and Gary Freemer of Dade City, FL; a sister Helen (Charles) Betts of Erie, PA; grandchildren Johnny Freemer, Keven Freemer, Krissy Freemer and great grandchildren Ethan Freemer and Mylee Freemer. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by a son David A. “Flip” Freemer, sisters Jennie Kosko, Mary Ivoska; brothers Bernard “Babe”, Joseph, Victor and Edward Lesky, and an infant sibling. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 11 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated on Friday, June 12 at 10:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.
