Robert W. “Bob” Marley
1940-2022

Robert W. “Bob” Marley, 82, Rockton, passed away Friday, October 28, 2022 at his home.

Born October 2, 1940, in DuBois, he was the son of the late William and Phyliss (Harrier) Marley.

On January 5, 1959, he married Patricia (Bailey) Marley. She survives.

Bob graduated from the DuBois Area High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Navy. In his working years, he was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Hallstrom Construction, Inc. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching football and basketball. He was known as an expert fly tyer. Bob was a member of Gelnett Memorial Church.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his daughter, Darmaye Marley, Hector, NY; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Marley and Linda Mellon, both of N.C., as well as several nieces and nephews.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tricia Charles.

Friends and family will be received Saturday, November 5, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at the Gelnett Memorial Church. Following the visitation, a Service of Remembrance will be held at 11 a.m. from the church with Reverends Roger McGary and Sherman Bailey officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
