1948-2026
Robert R. “Bob” Coppolo, Age 77 of Weedville, PA, went to be with the Lord on January 23, 2026 after a four year bout with cancer. Cancer thinks it won but it only took the vessel. God won with taking his soul. He did not die; he was taken to his eternal life.
Bob was born on August 24, 1948 to Albert E. and Elizabeth N Coppolo.
Bob was a member of the last class to graduate from the Bennetts Valley High School in 1966.
He served in the PA National Guard from 1968-1974.
He attended Penn Technical Institute in Pittsburgh receiving an Associate degree in Electronics in 1968 and Grove City College receiving a BS degree in Electrical 1974.
He was employed by Brockway Glass as an Electronic Technician and after graduating from Grove City as an Electrical Engineer. Following the closure of the Engineering and Research Building in 1988, he did some consulting work. In 1991, he was employed by GTE Sylvania, later becoming GTE Osram Sylvania. Bob also served as Jay Township supervisor for two terms. He was also involved in township meetings.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy, daughter, Tamie Mancuso (Matt), sons, James Tokarcik (Susan) and Brian Tokarcik, all of the DuBois Area. Four grandchildren, Marilla Ley, Isabella Ley, Isaiah Tokarcik, Molly Ellis, and niece, Marie Michelini (Bill), two nephews, Mark Coppolo (Candy) and Benjamin Coppolo (Emily), plus five great nephews, one great niece and three great-great nephews. He is survived by one brother, Ben and wife Ruth.
Bob was a huge part of all their lives, and deeply loved by them.
There will be no funeral service or viewing. A memorial service will be held at a time chosen by the family and in the spring when the weather is more favorable.
