Robert John Buzzell
1956-2024

Robert John Buzzell lost a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer on August 28, 2024, in Columbus, Ohio surrounded by his family.

Rob was born on March 14, 1956, in Manhasset, NJ to his parents, E.R Buzzell and Edna (Leinbach) Buzzell. He was raised in the Newtown, Pennsylvania area and graduated from Council Rock High School. He earned a BS degree from Penn State followed by Master's degrees in social work and public administration (MSW and MPA) from West Virginia University.

Rob's focus in life was to help others. He worked in various settings focusing on mental health as well as senior health care facilities throughout the DuBois area.

Upon retirement, he volunteered his time helping senior citizens navigate through state health insurance plans as well as volunteered as an AARP tax counselor for senior citizens.

Rob was an avid runner. He also enjoyed canoeing and soccer as well as spending time with his family.

He married Ann Marie (Galinis) Buzzell on May 10, 1980. They had 2 children: Greg (Jenn Mrozek) Buzzell of Columbus, OH and Laura (partner, John James) Buzzell of Waldorf, MD. Rob had three grandchildren that he adored being an active part of their lives: Atticus (age 10), Ansel (age 8), and Arbor (age 5).

Besides his wife, children, and grandchildren, Rob is survived by a sister, Ann (Bob) Wiles of Ann Arbor, MI.

A memorial service will be decided upon at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
