Richard A. Mix, Jr., 61 of DuBois, passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1964 in DuBois. He was a son of the late Richard Sr. and Judy (Fletcher) Sweed, who survives in DuBois.
Richard enjoyed watching wrestling, going for walks and spending time with his friends.
Richard leaves behind his mother and step-father Judy (Vincent) Sweed, Sr., his spouse Tina (Moate) Mix of DuBois a sister Kelly Pisarchick of Florida, a step-brother and sister Tammy (Rick) Anerson of DuBois and Vincent (Linda) Sweed, Jr. of Punxsutawney and his close friend and caregiver Lori VonGunden of DuBois.
In addition to his father, Richard was also preceded in death by a nephew Jason Bonfardine and a brother-in-law Brian Pisarchick.
A Memorial gathering will be held Monday, April 13, 2026 from 12 noon until 1pm at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Burial will take place in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home of DuBois.
