Pearle Evelyn (Keough) Pence
1942-2025

Pearle Evelyn (Keough) Pence, age 83, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, while under the compassionate care of Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on June 9, 1942, in Punxsutawney, PA, Pearle was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Vesta Nellie (Ames) Keough. She was a proud graduate of Brookville Area High School and worked for many years as a dedicated Glove Marker, retiring from the Brookville Glove Factory.

On May 19, 1990, Pearle married the love of her life, Allan Foster Pence, who preceded her in passing. Together, they shared a bond rooted in love and companionship. She was a longtime member of Langville United Methodist Church in Mayport, PA, and remained actively involved with the Brookville Heritage House and the Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging.

Pearle was a gentle soul with a zest for life and a warm heart. She had bowled with the Silver A League and cherished simple joys like bingo, planting flowers, and watching hummingbirds dance around her beloved windchimes. She had a deep affection for huskies, and her curious mind found delight in puzzles, game shows, brain teasers, and family game nights. For many years, she also enjoyed spending time with loved ones during whitetail deer hunting season—a tradition that brought her great happiness.

She is lovingly survived by two children: Mark E. Adamson of Brookville, PA, and Amy L. (Daron) Scurlock of Wyandotte, MI; one sister: Linda (Pat) Grundy of Mercer, PA; and one brother: Richard (Joyce) Keough of Batavia, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, Pearle was preceded in passing by one brother, Charles Keough Jr., and one sister, Julie (Keough) Henry.
